Job Description
S & B Home Services LLC is seeking a dependable, organized, and knowledgeable Part-Time Qualified Professional (QP) to join our behavioral health team in Rocky Mount, NC.
This position works with programs serving individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and mental health needs. The QP will provide staff supervision, assist with clinical and service documentation, monitor client services, and help ensure records remain accurate and compliant.
The selected candidate must be able to report to our Rocky Mount office at least two days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and oversight to assigned paraprofessional and direct-care employees.
- Complete and document required employee supervisions.
- Monitor staff performance and follow up on documentation concerns.
- Review service documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Assist with developing, reviewing, and updating Person-Centered Plans (PCPs).
- Understand service goals, frequencies, units, and authorization requirements.
- Monitor client progress toward PCP goals.
- Communicate professionally with clients, guardians, staff, care managers, and treatment team members.
- Assist with client record reviews and required updates.
- Complete documentation within established deadlines.
- Work within the agency's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to review and maintain client documentation.
- Enter, review, upload, and locate documentation electronically.
- Utilize email, electronic files, online systems, and other technology required to perform job duties.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and quality-improvement activities as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Computer & Technology Requirements
Candidates must be computer savvy and comfortable learning and working within electronic systems.
The QP must be able to:
- Navigate an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Enter and review client information accurately.
- Upload and retrieve electronic documents.
- Use Microsoft Word or similar word-processing programs.
- Use email and electronic communication consistently.
- Work with electronic forms, PDFs, spreadsheets, and shared files.
- Learn new software and technology with minimal assistance.
- Maintain organized electronic client and employee documentation.
Basic computer skills alone may not be sufficient for this position. The candidate should be comfortable using technology as a regular part of their daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
Candidates must:
- Meet applicable requirements to serve as a Qualified Professional (QP) for the assigned population and services.
- Have knowledge or experience working with individuals with IDD and/or mental health needs.
- Have experience with or a strong understanding of Person-Centered Plans (PCPs).
- Be computer savvy and capable of effectively using an EHR system.
- Possess strong written communication and documentation skills.
- Be organized and capable of managing deadlines and multiple responsibilities.
- Be comfortable supervising and providing direction to employees.
- Be able to work independently while remaining accountable to agency expectations.
- Be available to work in the Rocky Mount office two days per week.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Successfully pass all required criminal background and registry checks.
Previous QP experience, PCP development experience, and familiarity with behavioral health EHR systems are strongly preferred. Some training will be provided; however, we prefer candidates who already have a working knowledge of PCPs, documentation requirements, and behavioral health or IDD services.
