We are supporting an electric vehicle development program focused on prototype EV platforms, battery systems, and integrated vehicle controls.
The team is seeking a Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer with experience in EV systems, embedded controls, power electronics, and battery management systems. This role is expected to begin as a contract engagement with the potential to convert to a full-time direct hire role.
Responsibilities:

Design and implement control systems for EV powertrains and battery systems

Support BMS integration, inverter controls, CAN communication, and embedded systems development

Collaborate with mechanical and systems engineering teams on integrated vehicle functionality

Support prototype builds, validation, troubleshooting, and system testing

Contribute to architecture decisions and long-term controls strategy

Support functional safety and system reliability initiatives
Preferred Background:

7+ years of electrical engineering or embedded controls experience

Experience with EV systems, BMS, power electronics, or inverter controls

Strong understanding of CAN protocols, embedded systems, and controls integration

Exposure to ISO26262 or functional safety environments preferred

Experience working within prototype or early-stage vehicle programs strongly preferred
