Clark Cup manufactures paper hot cups for the food service industry. Our products are used by customers across North America, and quality is our highest priority. We are rebuilding our quality culture and looking for Quality Technicians who take pride in protecting our customers and ensuring every product leaving our facility meets specification.
This is not a position for someone who simply watches production. We are looking for individuals who will inspect, verify, document, communicate, and take action when quality standards are not met.
Position Summary
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing in-process inspections, product testing, line audits, and containment activities to ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
Quality Technicians have the authority and responsibility to initiate product containment, perform Stop-Call-Wait procedures, and work directly with Production Leadership to prevent nonconforming product from reaching our customers.
Shift Availability:

1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
-
2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
-
3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Primary Responsibilities

Perform routine quality inspections throughout production.

Verify correct paper, print, and product specifications are being run.

Conduct visual and functional inspections on finished paper cups.

Perform scheduled quality testing and accurately document results.

Verify seam integrity, rim quality, print quality, dimensions, and overall product appearance.

Initiate Stop-Call-Wait procedures when defects are identified.

Quarantine suspect product according to established procedures.

Notify Shift Management immediately of quality concerns.

Verify containment activities have been completed before production resumes.

Perform restart verification after adjustments or downtime.

Audit production paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
-
Assist with investigations into customer complaints and internal quality issues.

Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Maintain organized quality records.

Ensure compliance with GMP, food packaging requirements, and safety procedures.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Manufacturing quality experience preferred.
-
Experience in food packaging, paper converting, printing, plastics, or similar manufacturing environments is a plus.

Ability to read work instructions and product specifications.

Basic computer skills.

Strong written communication.

Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8-hour shift.

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
