Overview: Therapy & Training Coordinator
Eagle Valley Children’s Home is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Therapy & Training Coordinator to help support meaningful therapy services, staff development, and quality care for the individuals we serve.
This position works closely with therapy consultants, QIDPs, residential supervisors, nursing, dietary, direct care staff, school personnel, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate therapy-related services, facility training, active treatment plans, mealtime protocols, communication supports, equipment needs, and staff training. The Therapy & Training Coordinator also supervises Therapy Aides and oversees the MAC Department while promoting client dignity, safety, confidentiality, and a positive EVCH culture.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinating therapy programs, therapeutic activities, outings, and client supports
- Assisting with active treatment schedules and therapy recommendations
- Scheduling therapy consultants and evaluations
- Supporting mealtime protocols, dietary communication, and safe client care practices
- Maintaining therapy equipment, supplies, documentation, and schedules
- Supervising and supporting Therapy Aides
- Coordinating monthly in-service trainings, orientation, hands-on training, and DCT III proficiency testing
- Promoting teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and person-centered care

Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is required, and experience in an ICF/IDD/DDH setting is preferred. Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree with related experience preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in human services, such as sociology, psychology, special education, rehabilitation or counseling, or in occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, music therapy, nursing, or another appropriate discipline.
- At least one year of experience working with people with intellectual or other developmental disabilities is required; two years of experience in an ICF/IDD/DDH setting is preferred.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with the Executive Director, leadership team, Direct Care staff, Therapy Aides, school personnel, and other facility staff.
- Strong verbal, written, organizational, documentation, computer, program design, training development, scheduling, budgeting, recordkeeping, and follow-through skills are required.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly across departments, maintain accurate records, and support consistent implementation of therapy recommendations and facility training requirements.
- Must demonstrate sound judgment, respect for confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and a commitment to maintaining a positive and professional workplace culture.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including partial weekends or adjusted hours when needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and move throughout the facility for extended periods as needed.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull supplies and therapy-related equipment up to 65 pounds.
- Ability to support clients and staff during therapy-related activities, mealtime supports, equipment use, and hands-on training while following EVCH safety procedures.
- Ability to use a computer, telephone, copier, and other office or training equipment; visual and auditory ability needed for communication, documentation, training, and safety monitoring.

Pay: $26.25 - $28.26 per hour
