Duties
- Develop innovative menus that align with the establishment’s brand and customer preferences, incorporating fine dining techniques and current culinary trends
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure top-quality service
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and cost control measures to optimize food costs and minimize waste
- Oversee food safety protocols by implementing sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Lead and supervise culinary staff through effective team management, shift scheduling, training programs, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services by planning menus, overseeing food production, and ensuring timely delivery of high-standard dishes
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organization to maintain a safe working environment in accordance with health standards
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments and catering services
- Proven supervising experience managing diverse culinary teams in fast-paced settings
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments or specialized food service areas
- Demonstrated expertise in food production, menu planning, inventory management, and cost control strategies
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures, kitchen management systems, and inventory control practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality settings is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for delivering exceptional service in the food industry
