Position Summary
The Inside Sales Manager plays a key role in driving revenue, supporting customers, and coordinating service activity. This position combines inside sales, estimating, dispatch coordination, customer service, and process improvement into one highly visible role that works closely with technicians, customers, vendors, and leadership. The ideal candidate understands the urgency of a service-based business, can confidently communicate with both customers and technicians, and has experience in the commercial security, locksmith, door hardware, or related trades industry.
Key Responsibilities - Inside Sales & Estimating
- Respond to inbound sales inquiries and service requests
- Prepare and manage customer estimates and proposals
- Follow up on open quotes to improve conversion rates
- Proactively reach out to customers and prospect for new business
- Develop relationships with commercial clients, property managers, and facility managers
- Identify opportunities for additional products and services
- Support account growth through proactive customer outreach
Dispatch & Service Coordination
- Coordinate technician schedules and service calls
- Work with customers to schedule and prioritize service requests
- Communicate job status updates to customers and internal teams
- Ensure work orders are properly documented and closed
- Support emergency and priority service requests when needed
Customer Experience
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Build long-term relationships that drive repeat business
- Maintain Texas Safe & Lock's reputation for outstanding service
Systems & Process Improvement
- Utilize Service Fusion and other company software platforms
- Assist with process documentation and employee training
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and workflow
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of inside sales, estimating, dispatch, project coordination, account management, or related experience
- Experience in the commercial locksmith, door hardware, access control, security, construction, building services, or related industry
- Experience preparing estimates, quotes, proposals, or service work orders
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business software systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, vendors, and subcontractors
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial doors, hardware, access control, locksmith services, or low-voltage systems
- Experience with Service Fusion or similar field service software
- Experience coordinating field technicians and service schedules
- Experience working with property managers, facility managers, general contractors, or national service providers (NSPs)
- Knowledge of commercial construction, building maintenance, or security systems
