American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Oncology/Telemetry night shift position requiring strong telemetry or MedSurg skills and an IN or compact RN license.

Work in the 10 South Medical Oncology unit, which is oncology-focused but carries a high volume of telemetry patients
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Required to work every other weekend

Required to work every other holiday

Uses Cerner charting system

Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume and census

Management of cardiac drips and rhythms is expected

Active RN license (IN or compact) currently in hand or pending, with willingness to participate in licensure project if applicable

Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Strong telemetry experience preferred; strong MedSurg experience/skill set required if telemetry experience is lacking

Cerner charting system experience required

Must pass medication and EKG competency tests prior to starting

Skills in cardiac drip management and titration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring

Provide nursing care to a mixed oncology and telemetry patient population, including management of drips and cardiac rhythms

Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this travel position

Maximum RTO allowed is 10 days; if RTO falls during holidays, travelers must be willing to work at least one of the three holidays

Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler

Scrub requirements: Royal Blue top with White or Royal Blue bottom
