Hostess – Fine Dining Restaurant
Job Description:
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Host or Hostess to join our fine dining team.
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests and must create an exceptional first impression while maintaining the high standards of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide a polished, professional first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently
- Cash management
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Coordinate seating with servers and management to ensure smooth service flow
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and seating preferences
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area and other restaurant areas
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to support excellent service
Requirements:
- Previous host/hostess or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Cash Handling-Cash Management
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with reservation systems (OpenTable)
- Fine dining or upscale hospitality experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.90 - $18.50 per hour
