**Job Overview:**
We are seeking dedicated Veterinary Technicians and Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing quality care for animals, supporting veterinarians, and ensuring the smooth operation of the veterinary practice. We are an urgent care open nights, weekends, and holidays.
**Duties:**
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Handle and restrain animals during procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Monitor and care for hospitalized animals
**Requirements:**
- Proficiency in animal care techniques and handling
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control
- Experience with animal catheterization
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures
- Ability to handle dogs and other animals safely and compassionately
- Strong communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members
