You will be responsible for:
- Safely transport materials to and from specified destinations in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all traffic and transportation laws and regulations during deliveries (DOT, OSHA…)
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the delivery vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness.
- Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the appropriate department for immediate action.
- Safely load and unload materials onto and from the delivery vehicle, ensuring the products are handled with care.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery contents with shipping documents.
- Plan and organize delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and minimize fuel consumption.
- Adjust routes in response to changing road conditions or traffic congestion to maintain delivery schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, demonstrating a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Assist with unloading materials at the customer's site.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as delivery notes and invoices, are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- You are going to be in charge of your delivery team (helpers).
What you will be bring to our team:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record.
- Valid Medical Certificate.
- +2 year of experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to operate and maintain delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and courtesy.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and packages when necessary.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays and holidays, as needed.
- Ability to comply with guidelines and instructions is essential.
- Strong adherence to company policies and regulations is required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a must.
