Position Summary
Pinpoint is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on, and motivated individual to join our signage production team as a CNC Router - Fabrication Technician. This role supports day-to-day production operations through CNC routing, fabrication, assembly, packaging, and equipment maintenance while maintaining a safe and organized workspace. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong technical skills, and takes pride in executing precision-driven tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate, program, set up, maintain, and troubleshoot CNC routing and laser equipment, including tooling, fixtures, machine settings, and production files.
- Inspect finished components for quality and accuracy, and prepare completed products for fabrication, shipment, installation, or downstream production activities.
- Work with a variety of signage substrates, including acrylic, PVC, ACM, foam, wood, aluminum, and other sheet goods.
- Select appropriate tooling, bits, machine settings, and materials based on project specifications and production requirements
- Assist with fabrication, assembly, and finishing tasks as needed, including sanding, deburring, edge finishing, cleanup, light assembly, and preparation of parts for final production, packing, or installation
- Support production schedules through effective prioritization, communication, material handling, and inventory organization.
- Continue learning new production techniques, tooling, materials, and CNC / laser processes that improve quality, speed, and shop efficiency
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on CNC router experience in a signage, fabrication, or production environment
- Strong proficiency in creating and editing cut files, nesting, and toolpath generation
- Experience with Multicam routers and CNC software such as EnRoute, Aspire, VCarve or similar platforms preferred
- Familiarity with large-format materials and fabrication techniques used in signage and event structures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and light equipment maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and build specifications
- Comfortable lifting up to 60 lbs. and standing for extended periods of time
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical certification preferred

Work Environment
- Work is performed in a production, fabrication, and warehouse environment with exposure to machinery noise, dust, fabrication materials, and changing production priorities.
Physical Demands
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 60 lbs. independently; assist with heavier or oversized materials using team lifting techniques or mechanical aids (e.g., dollies, carts, forklifts)
- Prolonged standing and walking on concrete floors throughout the workday
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching (including overhead), and twisting during material handling and machine setup
- Repetitive hand and arm movements associated with machine operation, loading/unloading materials, and finishing tasks
- Requires manual dexterity and coordination to safely operate CNC equipment, handle materials, and perform precision work
- Ability to load and unload raw materials onto CNC router beds and remove finished parts safely and efficiently
Sensory & Communication Requirements
Vision
Adequate vision, with or without correction, to read measurements, drawings, machine interfaces, and inspect finished products for accuracy and quality.
Hearing
Adequate hearing, with or without correction, to recognize verbal instructions, safety signals, machine alarms, and other operational indicators.
Safety & Additional Requirements
Must follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, machine guarding requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and all PPE requirements. Must maintain awareness of workplace hazards including moving equipment, cutting tools, sharp edges, pinch points, and airborne debris.
