Job Overview
Fairway Plumbing is seeking a Licensed Tradesman or Journeyman Plumber to perform residential and light commercial service work throughout the Greater Austin area. This role requires strong technical skill, accurate diagnostics, and the ability to complete repairs and installations according to Texas plumbing code. You’ll be handling service calls, troubleshooting issues, and performing high‑quality work with minimal supervision. Key Duties
- Diagnose plumbing problems using proper testing methods and tools
- Perform repairs and replacements on water heaters (tank and tankless), PRVs, fixtures, piping, and valves
- Install and repair gas lines, water lines, and drain systems according to Texas code
- Conduct leak detection, pressure testing, and system inspections
- Ensure all work meets state and local plumbing regulations
- Provide clear explanations of issues and recommended solutions to customers
- Maintain accurate job notes, part usage, and service documentation
- Operate company vehicles safely and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Requirements
- Must be a Licensed Tradesman Plumber (minimum 5 years experience)
- OR a
- Licensed Journeyman Plumber (minimum 2 years experience)
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of Texas plumbing code and standard service procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot independently and complete jobs efficiently
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Pay range: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience and license level
