Responsibilities
- Assist in planning menus that meet dietary guidelines and individual preferences
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals with attention to quality, presentation, and nutritional value
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Support food service operations by serving meals efficiently and courteously to residents or guests
- Contribute to meal preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and plating under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals and a positive dining experience
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Background in restaurant or food industry environments demonstrating strong food service skills
- Proficiency in kitchen tasks such as knife skills, meal preparation, and catering support
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food industry standards for cleanliness and safety
- Experience working in a team-oriented setting with excellent communication skills
