Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team during the morning shift. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support patients with nutritional needs by assisting with feeding and ensuring proper hydration.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Document patient care activities accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems while respecting patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans.
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other manual handling tools to assist with patient transfers safely.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition or behavior, escalating concerns as appropriate.
Experience
- Prior experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or in a similar caregiving role within long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, or home care settings.
- Familiarity with PCC for medical documentation and patient record management.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures such as CPR.
- Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with dementia or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Exposure to specialized care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, hospice care, or Level I/II trauma centers is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques while maintaining patient safety standards.
- Strong communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving approach tailored to diverse patient needs across pediatric to senior populations.
