UTILITY FOREMAN – Water, Sewer & Stormwater Construction
Compass Environmental Group is seeking an experienced Utility Foreman to lead utility crews and perform water, sewer, and stormwater construction throughout West Georgia.
Position Summary
The Utility Foreman is responsible for supervising field crews while actively participating in daily construction operations. Candidates must have experience installing underground utilities, operating heavy equipment, reading plans, and maintaining safe, productive jobsites.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise utility construction crews
- Install water mains, sewer mains, force mains, and storm drainage systems
- Read plans, profiles, and utility drawings
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials
- Operate excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and other heavy equipment
- Maintain OSHA-compliant safety practices
- Train and mentor crew members
Qualifications
- 5+ years of utility construction experience
- 3+ years of foreman or supervisory experience
- Experience with water, sewer, and storm drainage installation
- Ability to read utility plans and profiles
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass a drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- CDL Class A or B
- OSHA training
- Municipal utility construction experience
- GPS and laser grade experience
