Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Warehouse Manager to lead our distribution operations full-time. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse activities, ensuring efficient inventory management, streamlined logistics, and optimal team performance. Duties
- Manage daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
- Oversee warehouse staff, providing supervision, training, and motivation to maintain high productivity and safety standards.
- Implement process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodologies and continuous improvement strategies to optimize workflows.
- Coordinate transportation planning and management using transportation management systems (TMS) to streamline freight movement and reduce costs.
- Monitor supply chain activities including procurement, demand planning, production planning, and logistics to align with company goals.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and freight carriers to ensure seamless distribution operations.
- Maintain DOT records.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to forklift operation, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse distribution activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management
- Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies.
- Supervisory experience leading diverse teams in fast-paced environments with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Proficiency in forklift operation certification is preferred; additional certifications in supply chain or logistics are advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments including purchasing, production planning, dispatching, and fleet management.
