Our organization is seeking animal loving, compassionate Kennel Staff members to join our fast-paced and dynamic team. Our kennel staff are key in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the animals that reside here. A successful Kennel Staff member will be able to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail. Timeliness is crucial for completion of tasks and steady flow of day-to-day duties. They should also be comfortable working with a variety of animals with a variety of temperaments and sizes.
Responsibilities:
- Feed and water animals.
- Clean animal kennels and cages. **THIS INCLUDES SCOOPING DOG/CAT POOP**
- Maintain and prepare living spaces for animals.
- Handle and restrain animals, when necessary.
- Laundry, dishes, sanitation, etc.
- Maintenance/upkeep of building and grounds.
- Assisting potential adopters with general questions and interest.
THIS IS A VERY PHYSICAL POSITION THAT REQUIRES:
- LIFTING (FOOD BAGS, CAT LITTER BAGS, ANIMALS OF VARYING SIZES, ETC.)
- BENDING, STOOPING, KNEELING
Job Type: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Shift:
- 8 hour shift
- All shifts are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Work Days:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Holidays as needed
