About the Role
Carousel Restaurant is looking for a creative, camera-savvy Social Media Marketing Specialist to grow our online presence across both our Glendale and Hollywood locations. You'll plan and create original content, including photos, videos, and Reels/TikToks, that showcases our food, atmosphere, and events, and turns that content into engagement, reservations, and foot traffic. This is a hybrid role: some in-restaurant shoot days at both locations, plus flexible remote time for editing, scheduling, and strategy.
What You'll Do
- Plan, shoot, and edit photo and video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, posts) at both the Glendale and Hollywood locations.
- Manage day-to-day posting across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, keeping a consistent content calendar and brand voice.
- Promote menu items, specials, events, and behind-the-scenes moments in a way that feels authentic and on-brand.
- Respond to comments and DMs, and engage with the local community and food/lifestyle accounts.
- Track engagement, follower growth, and post performance, and adjust content strategy based on what's working.
- Coordinate with management on promotions, launches, and paid social/advertising campaigns.
- Stay current on social media trends, formats, and platform best practices relevant to restaurants.
What We're Looking For
- Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and/or Facebook (personal, freelance, or professional; portfolio or examples welcome).
- Comfortable shooting and editing on a smartphone; familiarity with tools like CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Express is a plus.
- Strong eye for food, lighting, and visual storytelling.
- Reliable and able to travel between our Glendale and Hollywood locations for shoots.
- Self-motivated and organized, able to manage a content calendar with minimal supervision.
- Restaurant, hospitality, or food industry experience is a plus but not required.
