Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering product questions with enthusiasm
- Conduct product demos and upselling to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including cash, credit, and mobile payments
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to keep the store inviting and well-organized
- Maintain phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory counts
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering duties in a retail or grocery store setting
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities for diverse customer interactions
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities in a retail environment
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product placement strategies
- Experience in grocery store operations or retail sales is highly desirable
- Familiarity with upselling techniques and product demos to boost sales performance
- Professional phone etiquette for effective communication with customers and team members
