Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, offering personalized recommendations
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Handle sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and POS system operations
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling and serving processes
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain smooth operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or hospitality settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and food industry trends is highly desirable
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cashiering, sales transaction processing, and tip calculation
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
- Previous experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and kitchen support is a plus
- OpenTable or similar reservation system experience is beneficial for managing guest seating efficiently
