Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Tow Truck Operator to join our dynamic roadside assistance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting vehicles that are disabled, illegally parked, or involved in accidents. Your expertise will ensure that vehicles are handled with care, customers are supported with professionalism, and the overall operation runs smoothly. Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles safely.
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as winches, ensuring secure handling at all times.
- Maintain detailed records of all towing activities, including vehicle condition reports and service logs.
- Communicate clearly with customers, dispatchers, and law enforcement to coordinate vehicle recovery efforts.
- Manage conflict situations professionally, resolving customer concerns with patience and tact.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on tow trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Non cdl, Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, or similar commercial vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform automotive diagnostics and basic repairs.
- Familiarity with manual transmissions and automotive repair procedures.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment like winches.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor under pressure.
- Ability to handle conflict management effectively while maintaining safety standards.
