Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Systems Engineer to support and maintain the technology infrastructure across our warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone with an Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science background (Electrical Engineering preferred) who enjoys troubleshooting hardware, solving complex technical problems, and working in the field. The successful candidate will provide technical support for warehouse technology, travel between warehouse locations when needed, and work closely with operations to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain warehouse technology and electronic equipment.
- Install, configure, and support:
- Thermal label printers (Zebra, TSC, etc.)
- PDA/mobile barcode scanners
- Windows laptops and desktops
- Warehouse networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points)
- IP security camera systems
- Access control systems
- Barcode scanners and related peripherals
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, deployments, and replacements.
- Assist with warehouse network design, equipment layout, and infrastructure improvements.
- Work with vendors and IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Document system configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement long-term engineering solutions.
- Support warehouse automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Provide on-site technical support while minimizing operational downtime.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an engineering approach to problem solving.
- Solid understanding of electronic hardware and computer systems.
- Experience supporting Windows PCs and peripherals.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, and network troubleshooting.
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution center operations.
- Experience with:
- Zebra or TSC label printers
- Android PDA devices and barcode scanners
- UniFi or enterprise networking equipment
- IP surveillance camera systems
- Access control systems
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Experience with basic scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
- Ability to read electrical schematics or wiring diagrams.
Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel to 9 warehouse facilities across 4 U.S. locations.
- Travel is required for installations, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and technology deployment projects.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
