Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring quality and safety standards are met at all times
- Support front-of-house operations including serving customers, cashiering, and handling transactions using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and food handling stations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
- Support the kitchen team with basic food prep tasks and food safety procedures
- Manage cash handling accurately during sales and upselling opportunities to enhance revenue
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail food environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle fast-paced shifts efficiently
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory counts
- Commitment to food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Previous experience in café or grocery store environments is advantageous but not mandatory
