Job Description
The Steam Generation Projects Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineering team is seeking Engineers and Senior Engineers to support capital and maintenance projects that improve the reliability, efficiency, and performance of steam generation facilities.
This position offers the opportunity to work on instrumentation, controls, automation, and process systems while supporting major engineering projects from concept through commissioning. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams to support critical utility infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and/or support capital and maintenance projects from scoping through commissioning and project closeout
- Design, implement, and maintain Instrumentation & Control (I&C), Process Control, and Automation Systems
- Develop and maintain control strategies for:
- Water Treatment Systems
- Feedwater Systems
- Combustion Systems
- Emissions Systems
- Turbine/Generator Controls
- Steam Distribution Systems
- Prepare and review:
- Engineering Designs
- P&IDs
- Schematics
- Construction Drawings
- Technical Specifications
- Cost Estimates
- Develop equipment specifications and evaluate vendor proposals
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, equipment evaluations, and failure investigations
- Support construction, commissioning, testing, startup, and maintenance activities
- Participate in project planning, budgets, field walks, design reviews, and engineering studies
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Construction, and outside vendors
Qualifications
Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Maritime Engineering
- 3+ years of engineering experience
- Experience in Power Generation, Process Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Plant Operations, or Industrial Process Systems
Senior Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Maritime Engineering
- 8+ years of engineering experience
- Experience in Power Generation, Process Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Plant Operations, or Industrial Process Systems
- PE License preferred
