Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings to a variety of industrial components and structures, ensuring durability, safety, and aesthetic standards are met. Duties
- Prepare surfaces through construction painting surface preparation techniques, including sanding, grinding, and cleaning to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
- Operate spray guns such as conventional spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and powder coating equipment to apply coatings accurately and efficiently.
- Use hand tools and power tools for surface finishing, touch-ups, and minor fabrication tasks related to painting projects.
- Interpret production documents including work orders, specifications, and technical drawings to ensure precise application of coatings according to quality standards.
- Handle materials safely using proper materials handling procedures and operate forklifts or cranes when necessary for moving heavy components or supplies.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, respirator masks, gloves, goggles, and protective clothing during all painting activities.
- Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished surfaces to meet quality standards in production finishing.
- Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools, disposing of waste properly, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Experience in industrial painting or related fields such as auto body repair or construction painting surface preparation.
- Knowledge of coating materials including powder coating, automotive paint systems, and industrial paints.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, assembly, and materials handling in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to operate spray guns (including airless paint spraying), hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic machining tools with precision.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to respiratory protection and PPE use in an industrial setting.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations involved in coating application and surface preparation.
- Experience interpreting production documents like work orders or technical specifications accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to equipment maintenance or auto painting techniques is preferred but not required.
- Valid forklift certification or crane operation experience is advantageous for handling heavy materials safely.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
