Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring efficient seating and guest flow within the restaurant. This position requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional hospitality.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and provide them with menus.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure that guests are seated in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to coordinate guest needs.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues related to guest services or seating arrangements.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and waitlists efficiently.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest relations at all times.
- Ability to operate a cash drawer.
- Handling take-out orders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, but not required, we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest interactions.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding guest services.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
This is a great entry-level position for anyone looking to start their career in the restaurant industry, or for someone looking to work some extra part-time hours. There is room for advancement into a Serving position down the line for the right candidate.
Pay: $15.00 - $26.00 per hour
