Overview
Join our mental health team as a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), where you will play an important part in providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to diverse populations. This position offers the opportunity to develop your clinical skills while making a meaningful difference in clients’ lives. You will work under supervision to deliver psychotherapy, conduct assessments, create treatment plans and support individuals in an outpatient setting.
Duties
- Conduct intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10/DSM-5 coding systems to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and family counseling sessions focusing on mental health issues such as PTSD, grief, addiction, depression, and anxiety.
- Start and maintain a treatment group for any of a variety of topics.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), art therapy, play therapy, and faith-based support when appropriate.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure client safety during acute episodes, while maintaining healthy boundaries.
- Maintain documentation compliant with HIPAA regulations; accurately record progress notes, treatment plans in electronic health records in a timely fashion.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to extend services remotely while adhering to best practices for patient care and confidentiality.
Experience
- A valid Limited Licensed Professional Counselor license in the State of Michigan--only candidates with Limited Licenses are being considered (LLC or LLPC specifically).
Pay: $55.00 - $89.00 per hour
License/Certification:
- MI Limited Counseling License: LLC or LLPC (or eligibility) (Required)
