The Handyman/Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across residential rental properties. This role requires a reliable “jack-of-all-trades” with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills and teamwork, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while representing our company.
Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and repairs, including:
- Door, lock, and window repairs and installation & rekey
- Carpentry and drywall repair
- Painting and touch-ups
- Appliance troubleshooting and minor repair
- Basic plumbing (leaks, clogs, fixture replacements)
- Basic electrical (outlet/switch replacement, light fixtures, fans)
- Additional Compensation for HVAC certification
- Complete work orders promptly and professionally.
- Conduct property inspections to identify issues and recommend preventative maintenance.
- Assist with unit turn preparation between tenants (light cleaning, repairs, minor upgrades).
- Communicate effectively with property managers, tenants, and vendors.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and personal vehicle in good working condition.
- Respond to occasional emergency maintenance calls (rotating on-call schedule).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
