What we’re seeking:
- Current, active Louisiana DOE certification with Special Education endorsement
- Only fully certified (no TA/TAT) Special Education Teachers considered
- Previous experience in a school or classroom setting preferred
- Ability to pass a district-required drug screen and fingerprint background check
- Readiness to fulfill all credentialing requirements promptly
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering specialized instruction and support to students on caseload (age group and specific assignment to be determined)
- Developing and implementing IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
- Adapting curriculum and teaching strategies based on individual student needs
- Maintaining thorough and accurate student records, progress notes, and reports
- Participating in professional development and ongoing communication with colleagues and administrators
