DOT SAFETY COORDINATOR
Position Summary
ASD Team LLC is seeking a DOT Safety Coordinator responsible for monitoring driver safety performance, reviewing dash camera footage, ensuring DOT compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the company. This position plays a critical role in reducing accidents, preventing violations, and improving overall driver safety through coaching, corrective actions, and incentive programs.
Primary Responsibilities
● Monitor and review Motive safety platform alerts and reports daily.
● Review front-facing and inward-facing dash camera footage for safety violations and unsafe driving behaviors.
● Investigate critical safety events including speeding, distracted driving, following too closely, hard braking, harsh cornering, seat belt violations, cell phone usage, and other unsafe actions.
● Maintain accurate driver safety records and performance documentation.
● Track and monitor individual driver safety scores and company-wide safety metrics.
● Conduct driver coaching sessions and provide corrective action plans when necessary.
● Issue verbal warnings, written warnings, suspensions, or other disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
● Recognize and reward drivers who consistently demonstrate safe driving habits.
● Administer driver safety bonus programs based on safety scores, compliance, and incident-free performance.
● Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and company safety regulations.
● Assist with accident investigations and prepare incident reports.
● Conduct safety meetings and training sessions as needed.
● Monitor Hours of Service compliance and other safety-related requirements.
● Work closely with dispatchers, drivers, and management to improve overall fleet safety performance.
Qualifications
● Experience using Motive (formerly KeepTruckin) preferred.
● Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Ability to analyze video footage and identify safety concerns.
● Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
● Experience in trucking, transportation, fleet management, or safety compliance preferred.
● Proficient with computers, spreadsheets, and reporting software.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
