We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality physical therapy services to students in a school setting, helping them improve mobility, engage in all school activities, and grow in capability. The PT will work collaboratively to develop and implement school based plans aimed at achieving the best possible outcomes for students. Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed evaluations to assess student’s physical conditions and functional limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and student goals.
- Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to address students’ needs.
- Educate students, their families, and teachers about treatment plans, home exercises, and ways to more fully engage at school.
- Collaborate with other school based professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in student educational planning, providing recommendations for continued therapy or adaptive equipment.
- Stay current with research and advancements in physical therapy practices.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical Therapist License in the state of Florida
- Optional:
- Pediatric treatment experience
- Experience with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- School experiencePediatric treatment experience
Benefits:
- $40-$57 hourly rate, based on experience and W2 or 1099 therapist
