Description:
- Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner needed in a hybrid setting in Brooklyn, NY.
- The position involves providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and consultation services.
- Requires working 1-2 days per week, including Thursdays, utilizing an electronic health record system.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice medicine in New York State
- Certified in child and adolescent psychiatry
- Enrolled Medicare provider with a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
- Ability to bill Medicare, Medicaid, and 3rd Party insurances
- Experience working with children and adolescents with mental illness
- Experience with co-occurring disorders (mental illness and substance use)
- Spanish speaker highly preferred
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current NY State License and Registration
- Certified or eligible for certification by a recognized specialty organization
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment
- Basic computer skills including typing
