The Full-Time Upper School Paraprofessional position performs assigned classroom teacher responsibilities from 6th ? 12th grade in an efficient manner and performs other duties assigned by school personnel. Duties may include overseeing students in the classroom, cafeteria, pick-up and drop-off areas, outside courtyard areas, and other daily duties both indoors and outdoors. This position works during the school year and is off during the summer.
This person shall be spiritually mature and shall reflect the purpose of the school, which is always to honor Christ. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES:
- Education & Certification
- Associate?s or Bachelor?s Degree in Education, or a related field from an accredited college is strongly preferred
- Experience:
- Prior experience teaching or working with middle/high school students is preferred

- Ability to relate well to middle/high school students in a positive and nurturing manner
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism with faculty, staff, parents, and students
- Ability to demonstrate humility and teamwork in all duties

- Physical Requirements:
- Enjoys being outside in AZ weather at regular intervals up to 25% of the workday

- Must be able to traverse school grounds and lead students to safety in the event of an emergency
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and facilitate various time slots to assist teachers
- Occasional teaching responsibilities or subbing in an assigned classroom
- Assist with preparing lesson materials and classroom supplies
- Assist Middle and High School office staff as needed
- Assist Academic Advisors with administrative support
- Assist students during classroom activities
- Grade and record work in student records
- Aid in maintaining discipline and order throughout campus
- Prepare and create bulletin boards
- Photocopy and laminate materials
- Assist with arrival and dismissal of students
- Assist with daily duties, including outside duties
