Our vibrant atmosphere and friendly service make us a favorite food truck for ice cream lovers of all ages. We are hiring for our 2026 summer season.
Job Description:
As part of our food truck staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and creating a fun and welcoming environment for our customers. You will be at the forefront of our operation, interacting with guests, preparing orders, and ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile on their face. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working in a more independent setting where you'll be working in tandem with just one other staff member at a variety of types of events.
Shifts are around 7-8 hours on average, with only a portion of the shift being customer-facing. Most of our events are private catered events with guaranteed gratuity (on average, around $27-33/hour including hourly), gratuity varies at public events where customers tip individually. We are currently looking for staff that are interested and not interested in driving the food truck; though being willing to become a driver is a huge plus and considered greatly as we hire for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor as they come to the truck.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing helpful recommendations and answering any questions about our menu offerings.
- Prepare and serve soft serve ice cream and other frozen treats with precision and attention to detail, ensuring consistency in product quality.
- Operate soft serve machines, and other equipment according to established procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization on the food truck.
- Stock the food truck accordingly based upon information about the event.
- For public events, handling cash and credit card transactions with accuracy and professionalism.
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards to ensure the health and safety of customers and team members.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods and support each other as needed.
- Assist with closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workstations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and product quality.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Enthusiasm for creating fun and memorable experiences for customers of all ages.
