Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Grade 2-6 Homework and Math/English Teacher to inspire and support students across elementary and middle school levels. Duties
- Provide homework support and tutoring to reinforce classroom learning, helping students develop confidence and independence.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques, fostering a respectful and productive learning environment.
- Mentor students by offering guidance on academic goals, social skills, and personal development, promoting holistic growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments while ensuring proofreading of all instructional materials for clarity and correctness.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience teaching students in grades 2 through 6 with a background in lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching Math, English, literacy education, and standardized testing preparation.
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms, library services for educational resources, and classroom management tools.
- Prior experience tutoring or mentoring students outside regular classroom hours is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices , and behavior management techniques.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
