Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated CNAs and HHAs to provide exceptional care to our clients in a variety of settings, including home health, assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse populations such as seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or those requiring memory care. This role offers opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment, including live-in arrangements, with a focus on delivering personalized and respectful care to enhance quality of life.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Record medical information accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Perform vital signs assessments such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates
- Support patients with medical procedures like catheter care and Hoyer lift transfers
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed; perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry and cleaning
- Maintain patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Document all care activities thoroughly in medical records or documentation systems
Qualifications
- Valid CNA or HHA certification required; CPR certification preferred
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, or home health environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various settings
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Physical ability to assist with mobility support and perform light housekeeping tasks
