In-Home Caregiver Needed – Alzheimer’s Client MUST SPEAK ENGLISH-SPANISH
Heavenly Home Care, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dependable In-Home Caregiver to provide non-medical care and daily support for a client living with Alzheimer’s disease.
The caregiver will help the client remain safe, comfortable, engaged, and as independent as possible while following his established daily routine.
Caregiver Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
- Offer gentle social cues, reminders, redirection, and reassurance when needed.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and hygiene.
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and maintaining personal cleanliness as needed.
- Provide medication reminders according to the client’s established schedule and care plan.
- Encourage the client to stay active and engaged in appropriate daily activities.
- Help the client follow his daily routine and schedule.
- Provide supervision and support to help maintain the client's safety at home.
- Use calm and patient communication when the client is confused, forgetful, or needs redirection.
- Encourage appropriate movement and activities while considering the client's abilities and safety.
- Assist with meal preparation and encourage regular meals and hydration.
- Provide light housekeeping related to the client's care, including laundry and maintaining a safe environment.
- Assist with appropriate social activities and outings when included in the care plan.
- Monitor for and report significant changes in the client's behavior, mood, mobility, or overall well-being to the appropriate supervisor or family member.
- Promote the client's dignity, independence, privacy, and quality of life at all times.
Ideal Caregiver
The ideal candidate will be: (English-Spanish)
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding.
- Dependable, responsible, and attentive.
- Comfortable working with individuals experiencing memory loss and cognitive changes.
- Experienced with Alzheimer’s or dementia care preferred.
- Comfortable assisting with personal hygiene and ADLs.
- Able to provide consistent reminders, social cues, and gentle redirection.
- Safety-conscious and attentive to changes in the client's behavior and environment.
- Able to follow a structured daily routine and care plan.
- A strong communicator with the client, family, and care team.
- Respectful of the client's dignity and independence.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
