Litigation Paralegal Needed for Busy Plaintiff's Law Firm
Who are we?
Young, aggressive, tenacious, driven, and passionate legal professionals handling personal injury cases on behalf of injured people in Houston and throughout Texas. Our growing firm has opened an office at University and Interstate 45 in Dallas. We handle serious injury cases, including car accidents, workplace accidents, product liability, and truck accidents.
Who are we looking for?
The hired paralegal will be a primary point of contact with seriously injured clients who are going through one of the most difficult times of their lives. Skill, precision, integrity, conscientiousness, and compassion are required. We are looking for a reliable, passionate, and self-motivated team player.
Prior experience in personal injury is preferred, but not required.
Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
What will the job require?
Drafting discovery, thorough knowledge of procedural rules which apply to trial preparation (i.e., Ch. 18.001 affidavits, business records affidavits, etc.), e-filing, responsibility for making sure we obtain client responses to discovery, supervising other staff members, communicating with office of opposing counsel, scheduling depositions, mediations, and client meetings, handling client meetings when appropriate, assisting with intake of new cases.
Must be able to manage cases from sign-up to closing out post-verdict or settlement with assistance of other team members.
Must be a team player and able to provide guidance to other staff and help train when necessary.
Primary duties and necessary skills also include:
- Managing litigation dockets by taking ownership of your files.
- Client management.
- Assisting attorneys in preparation for hearings and trials.
- Investigating and fact-finding for cases.
- Assisting in preparing basic legal motions and documents.
- Providing administrative support for attorneys in court and at the office.
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft 365).
- Ability to learn and master new case management system (Filevine).
- Ability to multi-task and perform on deadline.
- Team player.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
