Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
- Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation protocols at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring a safe kitchen environment
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient food service during busy hours
- Participate in food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and plating dishes
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely delivery
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within the food industry or restaurant setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and servers
- Experience with menu planning, food service operations, and catering is highly desirable
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
