Job Description:
Responsible for regional brewery operations. Develop and maintain a system of continuous improvement and accountability for the quality of beer, efficiency of the equipment systems, and effectiveness of supply. Accountable for the development and maintenance of the overall vision of the organization regarding company operations. The position is accountable for the continual interaction of support teams and departments. Ideal candidates will possess a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing operations management, production-level brewing, and regional distribution practices, have a good business sense, and exceptional leadership ability.
Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Relocation to or regular commute to Mobile, AL.
- Ensure the company’s quality assurance and safety programs keep pace with innovation and growing complexity of the brewing facility and processes. List to include, but not limited to, various brewing quality, distribution, and production systems.
- Ability to understand raw material inventory management.
- Drives brewery achievement by developing and empowering team members, ensuring continuous education and improvement of all brewing operations personnel.
- Participate in and support the strategic vision of the brewery and its products.
- Coordinate maintenance to ensure all calibration schedules are being followed.
- Coordinate and lead corrective maintenance requests to ensure consistent and safe operations.
- Own KPI targets in production, quality, brewing, distribution, safety, and continuous product improvement.
- Lead, train, and develop team members. Hold individuals accountable for their performance.
- Production and shift work will be required.
- Maintain a culture of innovation and engagement with all staff.
- Work with director supervisor, and accounting department on all budget related items and issues.
- Respond to emergency calls during off-shift as needed.
- As needed, involvement / assistance with public events and promotional activities
Requirements
- Brewing specific education preferred, (Please specify on resume).
- 5+ years of operations management experience in the beer industry required.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently as well as in a group situation with excellent communication.
- High level of organization and proven success in managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively and take initiative.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office/Excel and other office-related software.
- Understanding of brewery regulatory compliance, beer science, craft beer, and culture.
- Ability to compile, interpret, and communicate data in audience-relevant formats.
- Strong presentation skills. Ability to deliver impactful communications to groups of varying sizes and compositions.
- Experience managing new manufacturing buildouts and/or large-scale facility improvement projects.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand/walk during entire shift, lift /carry supplies in excess of 85 lbs. and team lift up to 170 lbs. and reach, bend, stoop, crawl, pull, push, wrangle hoses for an entire shift.
- Work in a cold, hot, loud, or wet environment.
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Technical brewing degree or certification a plus!
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
