Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and ready for use. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Sort and stack clean dishes appropriately for easy access by kitchen staff.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely cleaning of all items during peak hours.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and assisting with setting up dining areas as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with culinary practices, including food preparation techniques.
- Experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of catering or banquet operations can be beneficial.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment is essential.
