Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using medical terminology accurately
- Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques
- Operate EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to document patient information precisely
- Assist with catheter care, wound care, hospice support, and other medical procedures as trained
- Use tools like the Hoyer lift safely to assist with patient transfers and mobility needs
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, cooking nutritious meals, and maintaining a safe environment
- Observe patients closely for changes in condition or behavior related to developmental disabilities or long-term health issues
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient status while maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Home Health Aide or in assisted living/nursing home environments with a focus on senior care or home & community care
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and HIPAA compliance standards necessary for accurate recordkeeping
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and safety protocols
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
