Join our dynamic team as an Unarmed Security Consignment Store Associate, where your vigilance and dedication will ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for staff, customers, and merchandise. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining security protocols, monitoring surveillance systems, and managing access points to prevent theft and ensure operational integrity. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the smooth running of our store operations while upholding the highest standards of safety and loss prevention.
Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV systems and conduct surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Control access to the store by verifying identification and performing background checks on visitors when necessary.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of merchandise or security equipment with proper safety techniques.
- Perform conflict management by calmly de-escalating tense situations and ensuring a safe environment for all.
- Respond promptly to emergencies by utilizing first aid skills, CPR, AED operation, or Taser as required, and coordinate with emergency services when needed.
- Enforce loss prevention policies through vigilant observation and proactive engagement with customers and staff.
- Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance records to ensure accurate documentation of security activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and familiarity with loss prevention strategies.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, Taser use, or conflict management is preferred.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to perform background checks and identify suspicious behavior.
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and conflict resolution.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties as needed.
