Job Description:
Job Objective
Leads and develops a team of Design-Build Project Managers responsible for the successful delivery of complex heavy industrial / power projects. Provides strategic oversight, technical guidance, commercial leadership, and project governance to ensure projects are executed safely, profitably, and in accordance with client requirements, contractual obligations, and company standards. Ensures consistent application of project management best practices, risk management strategies, commercial controls, and design-build execution methodologies across project portfolios while driving successful business outcomes and long-term client relationships.
Project Delivery Leadership

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Design-Build Project Managers responsible for major heavy industrial projects.

Establish project delivery expectations, performance standards, and execution strategies that support successful project outcomes.

Monitor project portfolios to ensure achievement of scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and contractual requirements.

Provide guidance on project startup, execution planning, commissioning, and closeout activities.

Support resolution of complex project issues, technical challenges, and client concerns.
Design-Build Governance & Oversight

Promote consistent implementation of design-build best practices, project management procedures, and delivery methodologies.

Review project health indicators and key performance metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.

Ensure project managers maintain effective controls for scope management, schedule performance, cost management, risk mitigation, and change management.

Participate in project reviews, risk assessments, and executive reporting.
Commercial & Financial Management

Provide oversight of project financial performance, including revenue, profitability, cash flow, forecasts, and contingency management.

Support contract negotiations, commercial strategy development, and change order management.

Guide project managers in evaluating project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

Assist with resolution of significant contractual, commercial, or claims-related matters.
Staff Leadership & Development

Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing project management professionals.

Conduct performance evaluations, establish development plans, and support career progression of project management staff.

Promote knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and professional development initiatives.
Client & Business Leadership

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, contractors, and stakeholders.

Support business development activities, pursuits, interviews, and proposal efforts.

Participate in project execution planning during pursuit, pre-award, and contract negotiation phases.

Serve as an executive sponsor or senior advisor on strategic projects and client accounts.
Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement

Champion a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all projects.

Ensure compliance with applicable company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency, consistency, and client satisfaction.

Lead implementation of lessons learned and best practices across project teams.
Qualifications:
Twelve (12) or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree.
