Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly sanitized.
- Help with the cooking of menu items, ensuring quality and presentation meet restaurant standards.
- Support the team during busy service periods by bussing tables and assisting with banquet setups as needed.
- Follow food handling guidelines and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any issues that may arise during meal preparation.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and kitchen equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are essential.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about culinary arts will be highly valued.
