We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This position will play an important role in our day-to-day accounting operations while also providing financial analysis and oversight of key accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team, currently consisting of three employees
- Provide guidance, training, and support to accounting team members while ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
- Oversee Accounts Receivable management, including customer balances, aging, collections, payment application, and account reconciliation
- Complete and review bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Calculate and verify sales commissions in accordance with company commission plans
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities within the business
- Conduct cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis, including reviewing margins, costs, and related financial activity
- Prepare reports and provide financial information to company leadership to assist with business decision-making
- Manage and assist with state and government compliance requirements, filings, reporting, and related documentation
- Review accounting transactions and processes for accuracy and proper internal controls
- Assist with audits and requests from outside accountants, auditors, government agencies, and other third parties
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, efficiency, and internal controls
- Assist with additional accounting and financial projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Years of Experience: 3-5+ years preferred
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations
- Experience performing bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and understand the financial impact of business activity
- Experience with cost, margin, or COGS analysis strongly preferred
- Previous experience supervising, leading, or mentoring accounting staff preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with accounting staff and company leadership
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
