Dandelion Cafe Bellaire is looking for an outgoing, dependable, and hardworking Assistant Manager to join our leadership team. This position is ideal for someone with restaurant experience who enjoys working with people, leading by example, and creating a welcoming environment for both guests and employees.
The Assistant Manager will report to the Store Manager and Kitchen Manager and will help support daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Because this is a hands-on position, you must be comfortable assisting wherever needed—from serving guests and supporting employees to maintaining cleanliness and keeping the restaurant running smoothly.
- Provide friendly, attentive service to every guest.
- Support the Store Manager and Kitchen Manager with daily operations.
- Lead employees with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Assist with opening, closing, and shift-management responsibilities.
- Help employees stay organized, productive, and focused during busy periods.
- Resolve guest concerns calmly and professionally.
- Maintain Dandelion Cafe’s standards for hospitality, cleanliness, food quality, and teamwork.
- Communicate clearly with the front-of-house and kitchen teams.
- Assist with training, coaching, and motivating employees.
- Step into any position when additional support is needed.
- Help create a positive and respectful workplace.
- Previous restaurant experience is required.
- Management or leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to lead by example.
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking with guests and employees.
- Positive, welcoming demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Able to remain calm, organized, and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and accept coaching from the Store Manager and Kitchen Manager.
- Must have a Manager Food Handlers and TABC or able to obtain one.
- Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout the shift.
- Ability to walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a busy restaurant environment.
- Ability to lift and carry items commonly used in restaurant operations, with reasonable accommodation when applicable.
