Position Description:
We are currently looking for a very dependable, experienced, trustworthy, punctual and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our Demolition/Environmental Remediation team. All applicants with 2+ years of experience in the contracting field and/or 3+ years in a similar administrative position are welcome to apply. Salary based upon experience.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Main point of contact for business - will be in charge of answering phone calls, emails, checking and responding to postal mail, etc.
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks utilizing QuickBooks (inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.)
- Responsible for receiving weekly timecards from employees and processing payroll on a weekly basis
- Assist project management team as needed (i.e. assisting with planning, organizing, scheduling, and management)
- Keep track of job costs and receipts
- Basic accounting
- Proper filing and organizing of all project documents
- Work alongside senior management to prepare project submittals, contract documents, insurance requirements, etc. based on specific project needs
- Handle administrative requests and queries from senior managers
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in the contracting field and/or 3+ years in a similar administrative position
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal and communication skills - including proper phone etiquette
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Excel
- Proficiency in Quickbooks
- Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
- Extremely detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Effective time management and priority management skills
- Must have reliable transportation
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
