Employment Type: Independent Contractor (Initial 90-Day Evaluation)
About Proxena Health Group
Proxena Health Group is a U.S.-based healthcare workforce solutions company dedicated to connecting qualified healthcare professionals with organizations committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Founded by a clinician with frontline experience, Proxena partners with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, home health agencies, and other healthcare organizations across the United States. Our approach combines clinical understanding with relationship-driven recruitment to help healthcare organizations build reliable workforces while supporting clinicians throughout their careers.
As an early-stage company, we're building a high-performing team of professionals who want to make a meaningful impact while growing alongside the business.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to help expand Proxena's network of healthcare organization partnerships across the United States.
This is a true business development role. You will identify prospective healthcare clients, build relationships with decision-makers, conduct outbound outreach, negotiate staffing partnerships, and help drive the company's long-term growth. This is not an appointment-setting position—you will own the business development process from prospecting through partnership development while collaborating with executive leadership during contract negotiations and client onboarding.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities from the ground up, and being rewarded for measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect hospitals, health systems, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, rehabilitation centers, home health agencies, and other healthcare organizations.
- Conduct outbound business development through phone calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and other professional channels.
- Build relationships with HR leaders, Talent Acquisition teams, Directors of Nursing, Administrators, and executive decision-makers.
- Present Proxena's healthcare staffing and direct-hire recruitment solutions.
- Manage and maintain an organized sales pipeline using CRM software.
- Schedule and lead virtual meetings with prospective clients.
- Collaborate with executive leadership during partnership discussions and contract negotiations.
- Consistently follow up with prospects to move opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Track outreach activities and provide weekly business development reports.
- Research market trends and identify new partnership opportunities.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Recruitment, Healthcare Staffing, Healthcare Sales, or Account Management.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Confidence conducting outbound business development through phone and email.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline from prospecting through closing.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Experience using CRM software is preferred.
- Healthcare staffing experience is highly desirable but not required.
What Success Looks Like
Successful representatives will:
- Build a strong pipeline of healthcare organizations.
- Develop long-term relationships with healthcare decision-makers.
- Secure healthcare staffing partnerships.
- Generate new business opportunities that contribute directly to company growth.
- Help establish Proxena as a trusted workforce solutions partner.
Compensation
This position begins as an Independent Contractor during a 90-day evaluation period.
Compensation is performance-based and includes a competitive commission structure tied to successfully executed staffing partnerships. Full compensation details will be discussed with shortlisted candidates during the interview process.
High-performing representatives who consistently demonstrate results, professionalism, and business growth may be offered a long-term opportunity with structured compensation as the company continues to expand.
Why Join Proxena?
- Work directly with executive leadership.
- Join a growing U.S. healthcare staffing company during an exciting stage of expansion.
- Uncapped earning potential based on performance.
- Opportunity to grow into a long-term leadership role as the company expands.
- Flexible remote working environment.
- Make a measurable impact on the company's growth.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
