Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Spanish-speaking Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health needs in the Baltimore area.
The ideal candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English and able to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking clients to ensure quality care, safety, and person-centered support.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in residential and/or community settings
- Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients and families
- Assist with daily living activities (ADLs), including hygiene, meals, and mobility support
- Support community integration, recreational activities, and life skills development
- Follow individualized service plans (ISP) and behavior support plans
- Ensure client safety and report/document incidents appropriately
- Complete daily documentation and progress notes accurately
- Collaborate with supervisors and clinical teams
- Provide respectful, compassionate, and person-centered care
Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior DSP or caregiving experience preferred (not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
